The SIEUSOIL project is very proud for taking part in the celebrations of the World Soil Day – Stop Soil Erosion, Save Our Future.

The World Soil Day (WSD) is an UN FAO recognized event celebrated annually on the 5th of December.

The aim is to raise awareness towards healthy soils worldwide, which lay at the foundations of agricultural development, healthy food production, and are essential to basic survival.

This year’s WSD campaign was held with the slogan ‘Stop Soil Erosion, Save our Future’ which attracted global attention on the issue of soil loss and the urgency to increase collective efforts to reach zero hunger.

The following video is a summary of the key activities and results launched from World Soil Day 2019. The events took place across the globe, with more than 560 events in 100 countries.
