Since 1973, World Environment Day has developed into a global platform for raising environmental awareness and acting on urgent planetary issues.  

Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), over the past five decades millions of people have taken part in World Environment Days, helping drive change and motivate national and international environmental policy. Each World Environment Day focuses on a particular theme, covering issues like marine pollution, global warming, sustainable consumption, and wildlife crime.

With nature in emergency mode, the #OnlyOneEarth campaign for World Environment Day 2022, wants you to celebrate the planet through collective environmental action. 

#OnlyOneEarth advocates for transformative environmental change on a global scale. The campaign shines a spotlight on climate action, nature action, and pollution action while encouraging everyone, everywhere to live sustainably.
